Responsibilities

Your Role:

We are seeking a skilled Auto Shredder Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our auto shredder and related systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on auto shredders and associated equipment as directed by the Shredder Maintenance Manager.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic issues to minimize downtime
  • Weld and fabricate components as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Inspect and replace shredder components, such as hammers, grates, and liners.
  • Use a work order system to track and document maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize repairs and schedule planned maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Assist in the maintenance of conveyor systems, motors, and hydraulic pumps.
  • Support emergency repairs and troubleshoot equipment failures during operations.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, preferably with auto shredders.
  • Strong welding and fabrication skills.
  • Understanding of hydraulic, mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of electrical components a plus
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and under physically demanding conditions.
  • Familiarity with a work order system or maintenance software.
  • Team-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
