Your Role:

As a Recycling Sorter will be responsible for inspecting and sorting recyclable materials from non-recyclable waste, ensuring that materials are properly separated and processed

• Sort and segregate recyclable materials such as paper, glass, plastic, and metals from the waste stream
• Inspect materials and remove contaminants or non-recyclable items from the conveyor belt
• Operate and maintain recycling machinery and equipment, following safety regulations
• Place sorted materials into appropriate containers or areas for further processing
• Keep the working area clean and free from safety hazards
• Follow procedures to ensure the quality of sorted materials
• Wear appropriate safety gear and adhere to all safety policies
• Report any machinery malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous work experience in a recycling facility or similar setting is a plus
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
• Physical stamina and strength, able to lift and move heavy items
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols
• Able to work as part of a team
• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)
