Responsibilities

Your Role:

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be a key player in ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of electrical systems within our waste and recycling facility. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, circuits, and industrial machinery components.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Install and commission new electrical systems and components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical code specifications, and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes and regulations.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities accurately.
  • Work with the maintenance team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Use electronic devices to log and report information.
  • Communicate with supervisors and management regarding electrical solutions.
  • Ensure the work environment is safe, clean, and organized.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
  • At least two years of experience as an industrial electrician.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and industrial machinery.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC, frequency drives, VFDs, and 3-phase electrical systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and work at heights.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) is a plus.
