Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Corporate Controller is a key executive responsible for overseeing the financial management and accounting functions of an organization. This role involves developing financial policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

  • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
  • Implement consistent corporate accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Oversee and support corporate accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations
  • Prepare and manage corporate budgets
  • Manage corporate financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements
  • Handle preparation for tax returns
  • Perform financial risk assessments and conduct internal audits
  • Reconcile banking and investment accounts
  • Analyze and document corporate financial information
  • Manage third party relationship with tax and audit firms

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to work with different personality types
  • Ability to explain complex concepts so they're easily understood by colleagues with no accounting or financial training
